Desk phones
Corded desk phones are divided into 2 groups; system specific phones and plain analogue phones. System specific phones are those which will only work on the manufactures telephone system; e.g. Siemens OpenStage digital phones only work on a Siemens system. Plain analogue phones are those which will operate on any system capable of running an analogue device, or will connect directly to an analogue exchange line.
